Zentract vs Harvest

Harvest is a well-made time tracker with invoicing. If your business is in Suriname or the Dutch Caribbean, here is what changes when billing moves into Zentract, job by job.

Job by job

Logging time

Harvest
Timers and timesheets on the web, desktop and phone apps. This is what Harvest is best known for.
Zentract
Time is logged on the task, from the dashboard or the phone, and stays tied to the project and client.

Making the invoice

Harvest
Invoices from tracked time and expenses, on every plan including Free.
Zentract
Pick the client and the dates. Zentract drafts the invoice from billable hours that have rates, and you edit it before sending.

Tax on the invoice

Harvest
You type a tax percentage, and a second one if you need it. Harvest does not know BTW, OB, ABB or BBO, which clients are exempt, or which details the invoice must show.
Zentract
Tax is worked out for each client, required details such as CRIB and FIN numbers are checked, and statements like “ABB verlegd” are printed where the law asks for them.

When a rate changes

Harvest
You change the rate yourself, on the defaults and on any draft that still has the old one.
Zentract
Tax rules are dated. Drafts follow the rules in force on their date, and sent invoices keep the rules they were sent with.

Getting paid

Harvest
Card payments through Stripe and other payment integrations, on the Teams plan and up. No Sentoo.
Zentract
On Growth or Scale, clients pay USD, XCG and AWG invoices with Sentoo from their own banking app, and the payment is recorded for you. Any client can also pay by bank transfer to the details on the invoice.

Connecting other tools

Harvest
More than 50 integrations, including QuickBooks Online, Xero, Asana and Slack.
Zentract
QuickBooks Online: clients, sent invoices and payments copy across, one way or both ways. Also an API and an MCP server for AI assistants. No Xero.

What it costs

Harvest
Per seat: Teams is $11 a seat a month, or $9 billed yearly. A free plan for 1 seat and 2 projects, and a 30-day trial.
Zentract
Per organization: Free for up to 3 people, Growth is $99 a month for up to 10, and Scale is $299 with no limit on people.

Harvest's plans and features as published on its website on 28 October 2026. The details for each country and island are in the tax guides, and the Sentoo setup is in Get paid with Sentoo.

When Harvest is the better fit

If your business is outside Suriname and the Dutch Caribbean, you mostly need a timer, or your books are in Xero or depend on dozens of other integrations, Harvest does that well and has for years. Zentract earns its place when local tax, Sentoo payments and retainers have to be right on every invoice.

Questions

Does Harvest work out OB in Curaçao or BTW in Suriname?
No. Harvest applies the tax percentage you enter. Which rate applies to which client, the CRIB or FIN number on the invoice, and statements such as “ABB verlegd” are left to you.
Is Zentract cheaper than Harvest for a 10-person team?
About the same. 10 seats on Harvest Teams are $110 a month, or $90 a month billed yearly. Zentract Growth is $99 a month for the whole organization, with local tax and Sentoo included.
